Moms and Guilt
Sunday, February 19, 2012 at 08:12PM Yes, we all feel it. Some of us feel it on a daily basis. Others feel it less frequently. Once you have a child you become very familiar with this heart sinking, breath stopping, and sometimes punishing feeling of guilt. You feel responsible for the health, safety, and happiness of your child and if you do anything that falls short of being the best possible mother you can be you migh feel.....drumroll here...GUILT.
Let me share some of my favorite stories. I promise that I won't identify anything about you not the age of your child or even what part of the world you live in. I can assure you though that these are all true stories.
1. One mother ate the last cupcake in her house and felt guilty when her daughter came down to search for that cream-filled delight.
2. Another mom told someone that her daughter was coming down with something because she was too tired to drive her daughter to get pizza.
3. A mom lied that she had never been defiant with her own parents ever in an attempt to convince her daughter to listen to her.
4. Mom #4 let her own boyfriend sllep over and snuck him out of the house before the kids woke up.
Please add your own guilty moments.

I read my daughter's text message-more than one time. Should I tell her or let sleeping dogs sleep?
That really would be telling!! I do feel guilty when I eat something the children liked and then they ask for it.
